Leveltec is looking for an apprentice or early-career mechanical draftsperson to join our growing engineering team. This is a junior, growth-based role designed for someone who wants hands-on experience, long-term development, and the opportunity to contribute to projects from concept through to real-world assembly.
You’ll work closely under the guidance of our Engineering & Quality Systems Manager, supporting design delivery while learning industry-level drafting skills, with the unique benefit of validating your own design work in production.
We’re also open to applications from mechanically minded tradespeople who are excited to step off the tools and upskill into drafting. Just keep in mind: this is a junior role, and we’re looking for someone who wants to learn, support our existing processes, and grow with the business.
To qualify, applicants must have completed, be currently completing, or be willing to commence a Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn to create and manipulate engineering drawings and 3D CAD models
- Collaborate with team members to deliver concept and detailed design models and drawings
- Support the project team with documentation, revisions, and coordination of models and drawings
- Maintain design templates, drawing standards, and controlled engineering documentation
- Assist with quality control tasks and related technical paperwork
- Engage with workshop assembly teams for hands-on understanding and validation of designs (full-circle learning)
About You
- You are looking for a long-term career with a company where your work has meaning and purpose.
- You enjoy solving problems, learning new tools and processes, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- With strong communication skills and a willingness to learn, you’ll help deliver successful project outcomes across a diverse range of engineering work.

- Safety-first approach with risk-based thinking
- Committed to safe work practices in both the office and workshop
- Enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to learn from senior team members
- Respectful of established processes and systems as we have strong frameworks in place, and this role is about growing within them
Desirable
- Interest or experience in metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, or workshop processes
