UVR Switches (Undervoltage Release)

PCE Merz UVR Switches are electromechanical undervoltage release switches designed to automatically disconnect equipment when the supply voltage falls below a defined level. When undervoltage occurs, the switch releases and returns the handle to the OFF position, ensuring a safe shutdown condition.

Key features include:

  • Automatic tripping on undervoltage to prevent unintended machine restart
  • Rated from 32A to 63A for low-voltage machinery applications
  • Release-free design ensures contacts open even if the handle is obstructed
  • Mechanical operation independent of operator input during fault conditions

UVR switches are commonly specified for machines with rotating tools and safety-critical equipment, and are required in many regulated environments to meet machinery safety standards.
