Engaging in conversation with our customers is so important. When introducing our in-house BSH brand of manufacturing came the opportunity to address an issue this customer faced.
Objective
Develop an isolation system that can be consistently supplied to remove an element of risk within internal operations. The solution must address a high level of ingress protection, steel wire armoured continuity, interlocking access, labelling, mounting and field installation.
Solution
A quick sketch on a notepad in the field quickly turned into a proof of concept drawing, after a few sketches back and forth with the mine we had constructed a 3D model complete with fitted parts and cutting plan for manufacturing.
The use advanced manufacturing machines in the process make for a stella finish!
After cutting and punching, the enclosures are folded, welded and finished ready for electrical fit out. The assemblies undergo a number of routing steps and electronic quality sign-offs ensuring traceability by serial number for all outgoing units.
