The CITEL DAC50S is a high-performance Type 2 surge protection device designed for use in low-voltage AC power distribution systems. With a maximum discharge current (Imax) of 50 kA (8/20 µs) per pole, it provides reliable protection against transient overvoltages caused by switching events and indirect lightning strikes.
Built with metal oxide varistor (MOV) technology, the DAC50S delivers low residual voltage and fast response time, ensuring the safety of sensitive downstream equipment. Its compact DIN rail-mountable design, integrated fault indication, and optional remote signalling make it ideal for installation in main and sub-distribution boards, industrial control panels, and infrastructure power systems.
