The CITEL DS60VGPV is a Type 1+2 surge protection device specifically developed for DC photovoltaic systems requiring high-energy protection at the inverter input or combiner box level. With a total discharge capacity (Itotal) of 25 kA (10/350 µs) and VG technology (a hybrid MOV + gas tube solution), this SPD is ideal for harsh, lightning-prone environments and utility-scale solar installations.
Unlike conventional DC SPDs, the DS60VGPV offers no follow current, ensuring stable network performance and reducing the risk of thermal runaway. The unit is pluggable, DIN rail mountable, and includes local status indication and optional remote signalling.
